“Late Night” host Seth Meyers on Monday took “A Closer Look” at presidential nominees’ debate prep.

With the first debate looming less than a month away, Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Hillary Clinton are — surprise — approaching the debates very differently, as outlined in a recent Washington Post report:

Hillary Clinton is methodically preparing for the presidential debates as a veteran lawyer would approach her biggest trial. She pores over briefing books thick with policy arcana and opposition research. She internalizes tips from the most seasoned debate coaches in her party. And she rehearses, over and over again, to perfect the pacing and substance of her presentation.

“Her prep sounds so intense I wouldn’t be surprised if she was hooked up to a bunch of computers with steroids being pumped into her veins like Ivan Drago,” Meyers said.

Meanwhile, Trump is preparing exactly as anyone unaffiliated with the Clinton campaign might expect. Per his former-adviser Sam Nunberg: “Not only does he want 100 million viewers, he wants to be a showstopper at the Roman Colosseum, the main event at WrestleMania.”

Alongside former-Fox News chair Roger Ailes and newly anointed campaign CEO Steve Bannon, former-New York mayor Rudy Giuliani helps Trump prepare during “Sunday chats …; over bacon cheeseburgers, hot dogs and glasses of Coca-Cola” at his New Jersey golf course.

Giuliani, interviewed on Fox News on Sunday, said Trump would find success in his off-the-cuff debate strategy because “they have set the bar so low for him.”

“As long as he doesn’t walk on stage, take a whiz on the side of the podium, and make up a story about how Hillary robbed him at gunpoint,” Meyers added, “he will exceed, exceed expectations.”
